If I Could Bottle Thank Yous

Hello! Today I’m participating in the Paper Smooches Thank you challenge. I decided to use a die that I have never used before: the small jar die. I paired it with a favorite thanks die, and that’s how this card was born!

The background was a stencil that I inked up and I added the “my heart is full” as a sentiment strip. Can you tell that the jar lid is silver mirror cardstock? It always turns out a little funny in pictures.

Thank you challenge

I may have to re-take the photos because I took them at night, and the lighting was strange on them. But for now, they will do.

I absolutely ADORE Paper Smooches fonts, and this thanks word die is definitely a favorite!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Spring Jelly Bean!

Hello and Happy Spring! Does it feel like spring where you are? Here we’re getting some beautiful blooms in the desert. Spring is coming! I have a fun springy card for you today, with the cutest happy bunny from Paper Smooches.

Loves Carrots, Loves Jelly Beans

Isn’t this bunny the sweetest! He loves carrots, and jelly beans! I used some fun pastel colors with turquoise and I love this color combo.

It leads me to the question: what’s your favorite jelly bean flavor: lemon, lime, or blue raspberry!?

So happy!

The jelly bean in this set is super sweet, and I had a great time building up the pile of jelly beans, with an Easter Egg on top!

I’m entering this into the Pastel color Challenge over at Paper Smooches.

I hope you had a great Easter! Happy Spring!

Easy Ombre Valentines

Hello! Can you believe Valentines Day is less than a week away? Today I have some Valentines cards to share with some of my favorite techniques.

I have a video of the easiest Ombre tricks to share, watch it below or on YouTube:

Which card is your favorite?

For the Ombre card I used the pink hybrid inks in four colors. These are already in Ombre order to make things extra easy. I love that! Each ink gets progressively darker, and when you use a large stamp (like the XOXO stamp) with a MISTI stamping tool, you can produce the easiest Ombre Valentine card ever!!

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

Hope you enjoyed these Valentines! See you real soon with more card inspiration.

You are Loved

Hello! I have a quick post today for The Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. I always love to participate in these, even though I don’t drink coffee. But I do LOVE a good hot chocolate and so that is my focus for this card.

I love a good plaid background so I stamped with Distress Oxides onto red paper. Then I added coffee cups…I paper pieced those cup holder centers with my favorite red Christmas paper.

I added a garland of holly onto red baker’s twine. Then I stamped the sentiment with versafine onyx black ink.

The quickest card, and oh-so-fun to make! I hope you enjoyed!

If you are joining in, today is the last day…so hurry on over to enter.

Have a wonderful day! Linking up here.

Glittery Pink Pineapple? Why not?

Hello there! Today I have a fun tropical card share. Yesterday I made a beachy card, and today I thought I’d take it one step further: to Hawaii Tropics!

This card uses my favorite background inking technique that is SO FAST!! In fact, I feel like it’s one of the most overlooked tools in the craft room right now. But today, I’m bringing it back!

This was a fun and easy card to put together and I have a VIDEO for you to watch below or on YouTube:

Did you watch the video yet? No? Well, I’m still going to tell you my secret: clarity brushes! (aka Stencil brushes). I love them for a fast and easy way to put ink onto paper. Sometimes I find the blender tool takes too long and is painful for me. The makeup brushes are great, but when I have a LARGE area to blend, I reach for these clarity brushes.

A Happy Pineapple!

I made him a glittery pink to play in the Paper Smooches contest going on this month: here.

This was my inspiration photo:

What do you think? Fun, right?

I’m often asked what supplies I’ve used on a project, so I’ve made a list for you here using affiliate links when possible (at no extra cost to you).
