Essentials by Ellen Mix it Up Challenge!

Today I’m participating in the Essentials by Ellen Mix it up Challenge for August with Winnie & Walter!

This card was a challenge for me. I used my Akayashi Sai watercolor markers and blended 3 colors together on the beautiful Hydrangea by Ellen Hutson. I love how it turned out, but it took me four days to finish!

 I had a vision to cut the right side of the card off and have some beautiful writing on the side. I ended up using my script background stamp, embossing in white, and inking on distress inks over the top. I’m not sure how well you can see the writing in the picture, but it turned out nice.

I added some inking around the edges of the white panel, and of course added shimmer to the flowers. The middles of the flowers are Stickles. In real life, this card has some beautiful shimmer and glitter!

I used my (only) Winnie & Walter stamp set…and embossed in white on black cardstock. Then I fussy cut that sentiment out. I originally thought I would cut out the black part in the “y” but it didn’t look right, so I left that part in.

Can you see the glittery goodness on this?

I love how it turned out! 🙂 This has to go to a special someone since I spent a lot of time on it!
