Sweeter than Pumpkin Spice

Hi there! It’s getting to be that time of year when it’s time for warm drinks and sweater weather! Ok, ok…maybe not here in Arizona, but it IS cooling off a little and that makes me want to make fall projects!

Today I have a fall gift card holder that’s sure to make you smile (I hope)!

Let’s Spice things up

Pumpkin spice! Confession time…I’ve never had a pumpkin spice latte (I don’t drink coffee), but I DO love pumpkin season! These fall papers make this project come together so fast!

This stamp set is a Fall Sampler from Scrapbook.com and it is SO versatile. I will have more projects coming up soon using this same set!

I created a short video to show you the process and tips you can take to TAKE THESE UP A NOTCH and make them super sweet. Watch the video below or on YouTube:

These sentiments really make me smile and I hope they make you smile, too. I turned one of these gift card holders into a card, but you can STILL slide off the stamped cozy and open the gc holder to add a note, a gift card, or some money!

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I really enjoyed making these, and I have to admit that this coffee gift card holder die is one of my favorites! It’s great for fall, winter and special occasions. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Are you excited for pumpkin season?

Quick Rooftop Gift Tag

Hello! I’ve been playing with the birdhouse stamp set from Art Impressions and I thought it would make a GREAT TAG! Especially with the sentiment that says “From our nest to yours.”

So today, I’m sharing this cute and quick tag; perfect for a neighbor using just the rooftops of those birdhouses!

And I have a short video to show you the easy watercoloring and strategies to make it look more 3D! Watch it below or on YouTube:

It’s a fun project and your neighbors will LOVE it! Thanks for stopping by!

How to Use Sublimation Markers with Silhouette Cameo

Hello! Today I’m so excited to bring you this post. It was a long time in coming….I’m sharing how to use the Artesprix Heat Transfer Markers (sublimation markers) with the Silhouette Cameo.

Once I transferred my Silhouette design to my project, I was so EXCITED because it opens up a whole lot of options and opportunities.

I love that you can have a professional look with these markers when they are drawn with the Silhouette!

I chose a design from the Silhouette online store. Then I mirrored the image. You want to do this anytime you are ironing on words so that they appear the right way. It’s easy to do…chose “Object –> Mirror –> Mirror Horizontally” and it turns the image for you in your Silhouette Design Studio.

Please watch my video below or on YouTube for just how to use these markers with your Silhouette:

I cannot tell you how happy this made me! You do need the pen adapter kit for these markers, since they are so much smaller than the Silhouette Sketch pens. I show you how to use the adapter kit in the video.

Here’s my project, I made this for a cooking class I have next week to give to some of the participants. I am now in search of an apron I can decorate with their names…wouldn’t that be fun?

Thanks Bunches card

This week has been a week of gratitude for me…and I never seem to have enough thank you cards! So today, I was inspired by the colors of Paper Smooches in their weekly challenge and I created a happy thank you card for a favorite person.

I used some distress inks to create a colorful background for this very happy bunny! And see those carrots in the background? They are heat embossed with sparkly embossing powder. Here’s a better look:
