Merry Making Class Day 5

Today I was inspired to try my hand at a holiday watercolor card. Debby Hughes is the master at watercoloring a scene, and she made a glorious card to show us her technique. Here, I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to watercolor my scene.

I adore this Stamping Bella image…so cute! That carrot is just waiting to be put on the snowman as a nose! Well, that wraps up the class projects this time around. I will take more time to finish up a few more projects I really wanted to try…soon!  I really enjoyed this class and can recommend any of these classes they offer. Enjoy!

Merry Making Class Day 4

I’m back with a great card using all die cuts, inspired by Nichol Spohr! Ok, ok, there is ONE stamp on this card: the greeting! But other than that, this is mostly die cuts colored up with some Distress Inks. I love how it turned out! These are some new stamps and dies from Right At Home Stamps and I love the car and that sentiment!

See you again for the last day of class projects tomorrow!

Merry Making Class Day 3

Hello! Today I was inspired again by Kristina Werner in the Merry Making Course. She showed us a method of using non-holiday stamps and coloring them up using holiday colors for a beautiful card. So I used a background stamp by Simon Says Stamp (Cora background). I thought it looked a little like a wreath. It just needs a red bow!

I used Copics only on the center part (wreath) and added a popped up sentiment. I also added some Nuvo drops in green, but you may not be able to see them in the picture. In real life, it adds a fun dimension to the project. See you again tomorrow with another card!

Merry Making Class Day 2

Today Jennifer McGuire inspired me in the Online Card Classes Merry Making course. She showed us how to score a heavy weight paper (110# is best) and then stamp on top. It leaves a beautiful white line through the image. Here’s my take:

See those scored lines? I think this looks even more beautiful in real life…but hopefully you can see a little of the lines. I’ll be back tomorrow with another fun project inspired by class!

Merry Making Class Day 1

I’m happy to be joining in on the Online Card Classes Merry Making course this month! Today, I was inspired by Kristina Werner. She taught us a bokeh technique using Distress Oxide inks and water. Simple, but so beautiful! Here’s my take on the project:

I just love that little Arctic Fox looking up at the snowy sky! Such a fun card today. Thanks for the inspiration, Kristina! Loving class so far. I’ll be back with more tomorrow!
