You Are Mermazing

Oh, how I love mermaids. My sister & I used to watch the Little Mermaid all the time when we were kids. But we would watch an animated version of the movie, Marina was the mermaid’s name and the little fish’s name was Fritz, instead of Flounder. I think it is the one based on the Hans Christian Anderson story. It had a very sad ending (she turned into the foam on the waves of the ocean), but we loved it!! Have you ever seen this version?

Anyway, I was so happy to win the Mermazing Stamp Set from My Favorite Things! Here is the first card I have made with this set:

I used Modeling paste in pearl white, and colored it with Distress Inks for the background. Then I colored the mermaids with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. There is so much shine on this card! Notice the glittery mermaid hair. My mermaids would all have glittery hair, of course!

You Lift Me Up

Everytime I see this stamp set I start singing “You Lift Me Up, to walk on stormy seas…You lift me up, to more than I can be.” Do you know that song? It’s beautiful. Although, I could have the words all wrong!

So of course, I love this set by Reverse Confetti. My granddaughter loves it too. She adores anything with giraffes. Or lions. Or monkeys! ๐Ÿ™‚

I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and used some bright colors, and fall colors. I think I’m ready for fall around here. Lol.

Make Your Own Sunshine

I’m a big fan of bright colors and sunshiney days! And this new challenge from Ellen Hutson here reminded me of that.

I had a great time inking up the background with bright Distress Inks (picked raspberry, peeled paint, and scattered straw). Then I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers to watercolor up that bear and his lemonade.

Can you just see that bear hula dancing away as he sips on his lemonade? It’s a great day!

I hope this made you smile. ๐Ÿ™‚

A Stockpile for the Seagull

Hello again! I am having a great time with this new set Seaside Seagulls from My Favorite Things. I thought it would be fun to have a pile of fish (that the seagull gathered) on this card. Here’s how it turned out:

Such a fun set to play with! I colored the images with Prismacolor Pencils and I used distress inks for the ground.

Day 6 Rainbow Copic Coloring

I was completely inspired by Kathy Racoosin on this card! She took a bundle of 3 flowers and drew a rainbow on them with a pencil, then she colored in each line with a rainbow color (across all the flowers)! Brilliant!

Here is my attempt at this technique:

Guess who needs green copic markers!?!? Yep, this girl. I still like how it turned out even though I used “Putty” instead of a green color. So much fun.

Thank you, Kathy!

If you haven’t seen the Rainbow Maker Online Card Class, I highly recommend it! Had such a great time and I’m STILL making rainbow cards. ๐Ÿ™‚

Supplies used:
Various Copic Markers
Paper Smooches stamp set: Friendly Flowers
