Glitzy Glitter! (MFT Camp Create Day 5)

Who can resist a little glittery glitz? Of course I was very excited about today’s camp craft with MFT. I took some darling MFT monkeys and added some glittery shirts using scor-tape. It’s nice and strong and keeps the glitter in place pretty well.

Here’s my card:

They are ready for a night out on the town with their new glittery shirts! I had to cut out another monkey arm with a banana to pop up on top of that lower monkey…

I also used some new-to-me Distress Oxide inks for the background. They blend so nicely!

I think these monkeys look great in their finery. Lol. Hope you enjoyed!

Divine Dry Embossing (MFT Camp Create Bonus)

For today’s camp craft, we learned more about dry embossing with a die cut. I opted to use my MFT striped cover plate and an embossing pad to make the following card:

I used some Distress ink to ink up those daisies (from MFT) for some variation. I love how it turned out! Hope you enjoy!

Sensational Sliders (MFT Camp Create Day 4)

Sliders are my new favorite thing to make. Today for MFT Camp Create I made a HIDDEN slider for the first time! I think it it awesome and surprising to have a hidden slider on a card! Oh, and these seagulls are a new favorite set for me:

I used the new MFT Cloud Stencil (another of my favorite new crafty things) to make the clouds AND the ocean waves! So awesome!

The seagull “swims” across the ocean when you tilt the card. [I will add a video here]

Spectacular Shakers (MFT Camp Create Day 3)

Shaker cards are fun to make and fun to get (don’t you think?) So for today’s MFT Camp Create we got to make one! It took me some time to figure out what my images would be for this shaker, but I came across this cute set that reminded me of 4th of July. I cut the windows for this shaker using a craft knife, just following some simple pencil lines I drew. I think it turned out cute! What do you think?

I colored the images with Copic markers and inked up the card panel with Distress Ink in Festive Berries & Abandoned coral. Happy (early) 4th of July!

Remarkable Resist (MFT Camp Create Day 2)

I had a fun day at camp working on a Heat Embossed resist background. I used an older MFT stamp set for this one, but its still one of my favorites. Then I took the large scale background stamp (the circles) and heat embossed them on the balloons and the “floor” of this card. I used Distress Oxide inks to ink up over the heat embossing. I have a full review of Distress Oxide inks coming soon!

Here’s my card:

I’ve always wanted a yellow party dress! Lol. So this lucky girl got to have one. I was going to have her hold the bouquet of balloons, but this little bunny hopped on in and did the job. 🙂

Hope you enjoy!
