hey-friend

Hey, Friend

This little kitty and bird together are the most unlikely friends…but it works. The kitty has to hang on to the giant balloon in order to say hello to his flying friend.

I used multiple sets for this. By Paper Smooches: Chubby Chums, My Peeps, and Happy Camper (for the friend sentiment).

Go Wild

I love these stamps by WPlus9, and I was delighted to use them again for this week’s Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Let’s Go Wild.

lets-go-wild

These cute Wplus9 critters are having a wild party with cupcakes. (That’s about as wild as it gets around here, peeps!)

I used distress inks and a MFT stencil for the background. The grassy die cut from Lawn Fawn, the fence die from Pretty Pink Posh, and the hay and sentiment from the MFT The Whole Herd stamp set. The cupcakes are from the birthday set from Simon Says Stamp.

I love that these guys have lots of cupcakes at their wild party! Lol.

71-Shakers.Sequins

You brighten my cloudy days

This card is inspired by the Neat & Tangled challenge: Little Tangles: Shakers/Sequins

71-Shakers.Sequins
I thought I was going to do a shaker card, but when it all started coming together, it turned into this:

you-brighten-my-cloudy-days

I used a variety of inks from Simon Says Stamp, matching sequins from  Pretty Pink Posh and the Clouds stamps are from Neat and Tangled! I have always loved those clouds and I thought they would look great in color. 🙂

I added some gray pencil beneath each cloud (to make them pop off the page) and some glitter dots with my Sakura glitter gelly roll pen. The sentiment is heat embossed with Ranger embossing powder. I framed it with a very dark grey cardstock.

Enjoy!

shadow-stamping

Shadow Stamping

The final MFT Camp Create is Stunning Shadow Stamping.

This was a fun challenge…and new to me. First I stamped with Hero Arts Unicorn white pigment ink, then offset on top of that I used Hero Arts Cornflower ink. I think it looks nice on the blue cardstock.

I used a few light blue sequins and put some silver Stickles in the center of them. I also used silver Stickles on the shadow stamped dots and on the base of the flowers.

The hello die is from My Favorite Things. I used some striped paper (from my scrap stock) and popped it up with foam sheet.

To finish it off, silver glitter paper serves as the base. Enjoy!

daisy-dry-embossing

Dry Embossed Background

So I struggled with this MFT Camp Create – Divine Dry Embossing.

I don’t have many dies, but I did find one that might work…these daisies. I ran the card through my Big Shot machine multiple times with a rubber mat in order to emboss these flowers onto the shimmery yellow paper (from Bazzill).

Then I die cut the white daisy out of the same die and layered it up on the black panel. The “Thanks a bunch” sentiment came from MFT’s Cheeky Monkey set. I thought it worked perfectly on this card!

I added white dots with a gel pen and green leaves from a patterned paper (found in my scraps stash). The center of the flower is Nuvo drops…I’m beginning to like these Nuvo drops! Enjoy.
