Hoppy Birthday

I can’t believe I have never used this Argyle stamp set from Lawn Fawn. It is so much fun to stamp, and it’s so cute!

The inks I used are Simon Says Stamp in Fog and Audrey Blue. Then I took that blue ink and splattered some ink splotches on the background, making sure I covered that argyle border first so it stayed clean! I also used another darker blue for the background splotches (Gansai Tambi watercolor).

The kangaroo is colored with Prismacolor pencils.

Have a beary amazing day

Nearly every time I make a card for my Dad, I use a different bear image. Today, I’m using the Lawn Fawn Dad set for the first time.

I used my Akayashi Sai watercolor markers to color the bear, and some mustard seed distress ink to give a little color to the background. I love that Lawn Fawn paper I used on the bottom of the card.

This will be for my Dad for his birthday. Shhh! Don’t tell.

I like you more than I like bananas

Today I saw this little monkey on my desk and I knew he needed to be made into a card.

i-like-you-more-than-bananas

A shaker card with lots of bananas! I heat embossed the bananas on some watercolor cardstock. Then I watercolored with Akayashi Sai watercolor markers and used the MFT Cheeky Monkey stamp set. Finished it off with some Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

I think my granddaughter will love that little monkey.

You are Fabulous

Yes, I think you’re fabulous. And I also thing card-making is fabulous. Put the two together and you have a whole lot of fabulous-ness!

Today, my card is inspired by the Ellen Hutson August Pin-Sights Challenge

fabulous

I combined watercolored stamping, a beautiful die, glitter paper, and Nuvo drops to create this Fabulous card.

I think I’ll give this technique another try soon!

Thinking of Ewe

Here’s my last card entry for the MFT Camp Create Bonfire challenge.

It’s a single layer card. These cards take patience, and lots of masking. I now think I might officially be crazy because I cut that fencing out of masking paper in order to get that white effect when I sponged on the distress ink!

I love this stamp set from MFT. It always makes me smile.
